Curated by Maayan Bachar, Oren Markel

PHYSICAL EXHIBITION DATES 28.11-10.12.21

MOOGZAM in hebrew is to exaggerate.

To over-do something. Sometimes we do this by spicing up stories in order to make them more appealing, or simply to highlight our points. Exaggeration is a statement that makes something worse or better than it really is.

Exaggeration in the arts is used to add a little bit ofdrama into the piece of work.

exaggerated [adjective]

“regarded or represented as larger, better, orworse than in reality”

To exaggerate is to be unapologetically you. To exaggerate is to release all social normalities and to live you life in the most freeing way. My exaggeration, is not your exaggeration. Any form of exaggeration is acceptable and true.

Be you, Be exaggerated.

In order to bring the exaggeration to the streets, the exhibition is open to public. Projected onto huge building in Haifa’s port, as well as a poster exhibition in the public space, the art is available for all passer-byers.

While curating the exhibition, we searched for over the top pieces that make a statement. Bold colors, compositions and meanings was our leading motif.
